Security: Malware Removal
Security: Penetration Testing
IT Security is now recognised as a new and very important part of IT. The security professional must be able to tackle the software of viruses and malware, and the intelligence and skills of the human hacker. As companies store more confidential information on line they must prevent the hacker stealing it.
The ethical hacker must be taught IT to a high level before learning penetration testing.
If you are applying IT Security this will be implemented in four steps;-
1 Clean all malware from the companies servers and workstations
2 Implement new security procedures such as new anti-virus software and gateway PCs running security software such as IPCop
3 Use hacker skills to attack the companies IT infrastructure to highlight any weaknesses
4 Create a set of procedures to be followed if a hacker attack is successful and confidential information is stolen
This is an academic and practical subject. This subject is very interesting as you have to 'get into' the mind of the hacker.
